Brand Focus: RMS Beauty

RMS Beauty is a brand that I heard a lot about but never really wanted to try anything from it because when I think of ORGANIC makeup I just don't think they function as well as professional makeup do. However, I like the idea of makeup that contains natural or organic ingredients which are beneficial to the skin. As we all know most of the makeup brands use nasty preservatives and chemicals that are bad to the skin causing either irritation or maybe some other skin problems doesn't matter if they are high-end or drug store, so I've decided to give some of the hero products from RMS Beauty a try and they are surprisingly
New Makeup New Look good.

Just a little back ground information here for y'all. RMS Beauty is founded by the famous celebrity makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift who was in fact sick because of using some of the un-natural makeup products so she decided to create her own makeup brand by using only organic ingredients which are good for the skin. Her products are all infused with coconut oil which as we all know is very nourishing as well as the healing properties that it has. She also use other essential oils and plant based extracts that are natural and beneficial to our skin.

I have to say I really like the products I got from RMS but they are definitely for dry skin girls apart from the Raw Coconut Cream and the Beauty Oil which can benefit all skin types, but the makeup are certainly on the oily side because of the coconut oil I suppose, and they can look and feel quite greasy if you have oily skin. But dry/sensitive skin types are gonna love RMS beauty products.

I initially bought the Raw Coconut Cream which is a cult favourite by a lot of celebrities and apparently they all swear by it. It is an coconut oil not actually a cream so don't be fooled by the name like I did when I bought it. But nonetheless it is a great product. It is like all coconut oil, is solid but once warmed in hands it becomes an actual oil which is great for taking off makeup as well as moisturising skin, body and of course hair. It is a multi-use product and of course organic so I highly recommend this baby. It is my winter dry skin saviour. I'll link my February Favourites here for you if you wanna know more.

I was so impressed with the Raw Coconut Cream so I went ahead and purchased the Foundation/Concealer called "Un" Cover-up which again is a popular product of RMS. It comes in a pot like most of the RMS products do and I have the shade in 22 which matches me perfectly! I'm someone who is not yet light but not quite medium in terms of skin tone so I always have trouble in finding the right shade in foundations but like I said this one matches me very well so if you are like me definitely check this one out but I should warn you that it is a product for dry skin not even normal skin like mine because it gets oily, feels sticky, the product doesn't sink in, just sits on top and feels uncomfortable. But that being said it is so hydrating and looks like second skin, literally! So if you have dry skin and want to get something that is light in texture but don't mind the light coverage then this is the one for you. I, in fact, have being mixing it with the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation which is on the dryer side as far as texture goes, and both mixed together look flawless.

I also bought the Lip & Skin Balm (Simply Vanilla) from RMS which is an awesome product if you suffer from dry skin. It is another multi-use product which can be applied on dry patches, lips, under the eyes, cheeks as a subtle/healthy looking highlighter, as well as using it as a primer before foundation so that the skin doesn't look cakey nor dry. I am obsessed with this little pot because unlike the "Un" Cover-up, it doesn't feel greasy, doesn't look oily, feels very comfortable on the skin as well as on the lips. The only downside is that dipping fingers in the pot, the actual product gets "dirty" so I really wish it comes in some other containers but I suppose it has to be pots because of the coconut oil in it as it does get solid. But that being said I love it, it is so useful, I even use it on my cuticles I mean it just gets the job done without being oily.

Those are the RMS products I have and I must say that they are worth it if you are into organic makeup/skincare and/or if you have dry skin. I will definitely check out more of their products especially the Beauty Oil which seems like an epic product for the skin. I really like the brand and I love the idea of natural/organic ingredients that RMS use. I won't give up on my normal makeup products but it is nice to use some organic makeup items in my daily makeup routine especially skin items cuz ain't nobody want nasty chemicals on their skins right?!

Have you tried any organic beauty products? Any thoughts?
