Hey guys. I hope you are all doing well. Today I am going to show you what's in my small Z Palette.
Z palette is an empty square magnetic palette with no holes for those of you who doesn't know what Z Palette is. It is very convenient in terms of keeping all of your favorite eyeshadows, blushers, bronzers or powders in one place so that you don't have to carry around all that pots and containers with you especially when you travel. Any cosmetic product of any shape with a metal pan/container will stick to the flat magnetic base with no magnet and will not budge or slide around. Round self adhesive metal stickers are also included for some brands of makeup that are not produced in metal pans. They come in variety of colors/patterns that you can chose from. I got the Leopard print one and I love it. They also come in different sizes and I got the small one which I think is cute and compact so it doesn't take much room in my makeup bag. Measurements of small Z palettes are - 4 inch x 4 inch square in case you are wondering.
I purchased mine at love-makeup.co.uk so make sure to check it out if you are interested.
Ok now onto the good stuff. What's in it? Et voila... I keep some of my all time favorite eyeshadows in this palette, and those shadows are my most reached for on a day to day basis. I love them to death and if they do run out I will buy them again without a doubt.
The bigger square pans are all from the Urban Decay Smoked Palette, and the 3 little rectangle pans are shadows from the Meet Matt(e) palette of theBalm Cosmetics, and lastly the 4 smaller square pans on the far right are all Lancôme eyeshadows from the Blossom Edition which is a limited edition palette, and I am not positive if Lancôme still has it in stock so make sure to check it with your local Lancôme makeup counter.
Here are the swatches of the Urban Decay and theBalm eyeshadows (first 3 columns). I love the Urban Decay Smoked Palette because it has everything that I've ever want in an eye palette. It comes with a miniature primer potion and a full size 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in perversion. I'll link it here where you can find it.
Some of the colours are matte, some of them are satin finished shadows and some of them are shimmery shades nothing glittery or sparkly which I don't care for. You can create so many looks with the Urban Decay Smoked Palette, natural or smokey, day or night looks. The colours just suit me really well, they are buttery soft, pigmented and very easy to blend. I am a smokey eye wearer/lover and this palette is basically designed for me. I don't think I could ever live without it. It's true. I just love it so much!
(The colour "evidence" is not in my Z palette. I took out because I never use it, and that's why there's a big "cross" on it)
The 3 little eyeshadows from theBalm Meet Matt(e) Palette are the ones that I reach for the most. Click here to check out my Brand Review on theBalm Cosmetics blogpost which I did 2 days ago for detailed info. Unfortunately This palette is discontinued, but theBalm has released a new palette which is quite similar called Meet Matt(e) Nude. I'll link it here if you are interested.
Matt Gallagher is a medium brown matte taupe which is a great crease colour, you can see I've almost hit pan. Matt Patel is a cool toned matte taupe and it's very pretty as an all over the lid colour. It will also be really pretty on the crease if you are doing a dark grey or black smokey eye. And lastly Matt Batali which is a dark matte purple colour, great for applying on the outer V or as a liner on both upper and lower lash lines.
Here are the swatches of the Lancôme eyeshadows from the Blossom Edition Palette (4 little shadows on the right column). They are everyday shades, and ideal for a "no makeup" makeup look. Very very pretty indeed.
As I said before this is a limited edition palette and I don't think you can find it anywhere apart from eBay or Amazon to be quite honest, I'll link the eBay seller who still sells this palette right here so you can check it out if you fancy buying it.
The 3 lighter shades are shimmery and the dark purple is a satin finish. Lately I have been wearing a lot of the Beige Pink as an all over the lid colour and applying the Dark Purple on my outer V and smudging it on my lower lash lines as well. Very natural and office appropriate. You can pair it with a natural lip colour like I did here or go bold on the lip as the eyes are very natural looking. Love it.
That's it guys. I keep some of my favorite eyeshadows in my small Z Palette and I recommend get one of those for you as well because Z palettes are just so easy to carry around, there are different sizes that you can choose from, and everything is all in one place. Neat!
